Meet our Conference and Events Coordinator, Maeve Kennedy

Maeve Kennedy is our Conference and Events Coordinator at Cork International Hotel. Maeve works to exceed expectations, overseeing all aspects of functions, meetings and events within the hotel, ensuring a personal touch to each event.

We asked Maeve some questions about her in order to get to know her better.

 

1. What’s your favourite social media platform?

I love Instagram at the moment, trying out new recipes, trying to improve my cooking skills.. overall most of the dishes have been a success.

 

2. What’s your biggest achievement to date? Personal or Professional

My biggest personal achievement to date has to be date has to be being a mum to my 3 children. Love watching them grow into young adults, become individuals each with their own interests.

 

3. Name one place in Cork you would recommend to visitors as a must-see/do?

For a family day out Fota Wildlife Park was always a favourite of ours. Guarantee a great day out, something for everyone and for myself I always love Crawford Art Gallery in town, love the variety of art including contemporary artists. Great place to have a coffee with a friend as well.

4. How are you managing to maintain your physical and mental wellbeing during Covid-19?

I started running a few years ago and took it back up again during COVID. It really help me to deal with things, help clear my head. All you need is a pair or runners and no matter what the restrictions were, I was always able to go for a run. I have set myself the challenge of running 100 miles in October. Also started yoga which I am enjoying.
