When Ireland entered lockdown, we got the biggest shock. Apart from the worry and stress that everyone felt for our families and friends, as hoteliers, we also had a new feeling to cope with – What does one do when one has nothing to do? Hospitality is our life, it’s in our blood and anyone who has ever visited us will know that our main passion in life is serving others and connecting with our guests, so it was a very strange feeling not having guests to cater for every day.

Apart from the fundraising we engaged in to support our clubs, communities and frontline, here’s a quick snapshot of how our hoteliers coped at home with no guests to care for.
