One of our favorite things

By far one of our favorite things we did on our 2 week holiday. Suzanne was not only extremely knowledgeable about everything (not just food ),her personality made the experience even more lovely. We will definitely be back and we will be more adventurous. We will be doing the “food and foraging” tour that she offers next. I simply can not express just how great this was!!!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ☘️

We had such a fantastic day out with Suzanne, who introduced us to some fabulous food and such lovely people who took so much pride in what they were offering, plus we also learnt about the history of Kinsale. Suzanne has a great sense of humour, and so easy to get on with, we just spent the day laughing,eating and drinking, it was brilliant !! Come hungry as the portions are BIG !!! If in Kinsale you have to do this tour with Suzanne.

What is the Kinsale Foraging & Picnic Tour Experience?

For outdoor enthusiasts and adventure and food lovers, the foraging and picnic tour is perfect! This incorporates food tastings as well as coastal foraging. You will travel to the coast to forage and identify edible, wild shellfish, seaweed and plants, followed by a deelctable smorgasbord of local and seasonal sweet and savoury treats hand-picked by Suzanne.

Designed to cater to people’s different needs, Suzanne, a wildlife guide and marine biologist works with wonderful suppliers and producers and will carefully choose your food as you join us on one of the tours. A selection of gourmet savouries, artisanal sweet treats and some surprise additions will satisfy your stomach. She caters to many palates, including vegetarians, vegans and gluten free. The outdoor tours happen hail, rain or shine. We love our food too much to miss out!

You will meet Suzanne at the coastal enclave of Sandycove where she will have a sumptuous picnic waiting for you in this gorgeous location. You will relax, take in the views and breathe in the clean, salty air. Once you have whetted your appetite, you will be taken on a wee excursion foraging for wild seaweeds, shellfish and plants. Times for this tour are tide dependent and must be pre-booked with our reservation team once your booking is made.
