Cork Harbour Festival returns June 3-13, 2022
Cork Harbour Festival returns again this June 3rd-13th with over 50 events in more than a dozen locations across Cork Harbour and in Cork City itself.
So why not join us in celebrating Cork’s unique maritime history. Many people don’t realize that Cork Harbour is the second largest of its kinds in the world, making it an ideal location for this event each year.
On June 4th, enjoy the spectacle of the Ocean to City race – An Rás Mór, which is Ireland’s leading long-distance rowing race. The longest race is the 28km Ocean Course, but there are also shorter races for younger competitors. These races are a thrilling spectacle that thousands of spectators enjoy each year.
During this festival you can explore the entirety of Cork, from its history and heritage to the breathtaking landscapes of Cork Harbour and the first stages of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic coastline. You even have the option of exploring the nearby coastline by rigid inflatable boat if you want to.
But there’s also an entire city to explore while you’re here – with food and shopping to suit every taste. So you can mix and match sheer excitement
The Cork Harbour Festival is not only about water-based events and entertainment – there’s lots happening on dry land too.
Visitors can enjoy live music performed by festival favourites, art exhibitions dotted throughout the city, poetry readings, workshops of all kinds, as well as plenty of seminars covering a myriad of topics, as well of course, oodles of family activities and fun of all kinds.
Many of the above events are also family friendly, so your entire family can take part in the fun of the Cork Harbour Festival.
