Cava Bodega Cork

For one night only Cava Bodega, head chef JP McMahon will host a Pop Up evening at the Cork International Hotel, in association with our team of chefs.

On the night JP and the chefs in Cork International Hotel will serve a selection of Cava Bodega mouth-watering tapas which his Galway restaurant is famous for. It will be an intimate dining experience that is not to be missed. You will be welcomed with a glass of Cava and then dine on a varied selection of Tapas throughout the evening.

Cava Bodega was awarded Best Casual Dining Restaurant in Galway at the 2017 Irish Restaurant Awards’ Connaught Regional Finals.

Originally called Cava Restaurant, Cava Bodega was JP and Drigin’s first venture, which they opened in May 2008. Uniquely, Cava’s menu offered only tapas, as well as wines and beers from Spain, which introduced a very different restaurant concept to Galway and Ireland of dishes being brought to the table as and when ready, diverging from the traditional three-course format.

Bodega is furthermore JP’s tribute to global food that can be an exciting experience that takes us beyond our own environment. The vision for Cava Bodega was also about exploring the culinary links between Spain and Ireland, including Galway, and the historic trade between the two countries in lamb, pigs, spices, wine and sherry.
