Cork International Airport Hotel and Red FM Join Up to Celebrate Local Sport

Cork International Airport Hotel and Red FM are pleased to announce their joint sponsorship of the extremely successful Southside Sports Awards. The awards celebrate the achievements of sporting professionals from the Southside of Cork County. Some past recipients of the prestigious award include rugby great Donnacha O’Callaghan and Grand Slam winning coach Declan Kidney. General Manager of Cork International Airport Hotel, commented on the hotel’s and Red FM’s joint sponsorship of the awards: “We are delighted to have Red FM on board with sponsoring the Southside Sports Awards. Here at Cork International Airport Hotel we are honoured to be involved with the recognition of some of Cork County’s and Ireland’s sporting heroes. Now more than ever sporting achievements are important to lift the spirits of people in Cork!”  The next ceremony will be held at Cork International Airport Hotel on Thursday 23^rd of April 2009 when Paul Keegan (CIT/Nemo Rangers) will be awarded the February award while the March award will be jointly presented to Shane O’Neill (UCC – Fitzgibbon Cup) and Minty Fitzgerald (AUL Soccer).
